Construction notice: 2025 sidewalk repair project

Work is underway to repair cracked, uneven and damaged sidewalks and curbs across Clarington as part of our annual sidewalk maintenance program. The work is expected to be completed by October 2025.

This important work involves lifting or removing and replacing over 540 sidewalk bays (individual sidewalk sections) and short lengths of curb.

Here’s what you need to know:

• The affected roadways will remain open; however, residents may experience occasional disruptions to property access, particularly driveways.
• Residents whose driveways are affected will receive at least 24 hours’ notice.
• Timelines are approximate and will vary depending on factors such as inclement weather.
