Let’s celebrate Canada Day, eh! Fireworks and fun for all ages—it’s going to be a blast

Come out and celebrate Canada Day with an evening packed with entertainment, activities, and good times with friends and family. The festivities kick off Tuesday, July 1, from 5 to 10 p.m. at Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex, located at 2440 Highway 2 in Bowmanville. End the night with a bang—fireworks light up the sky at 10 p.m.!

  • Live music and performances on the Main Stage featuring the Matt O'Music Student Band Showcase, The Charles Street Band, City Soul, and Guinness World Records holder Brant the Fire Guy
  • Entertainment on the Kids’ Stage featuring storytime, music, dance, and more
  • Kids’ Play Zone with a Bubble Party and LEGO and hula hoop stations
  • Inflatable obstacle course and games
  • Face painting and henna art
  • Tasty bites from food and ice cream vendors
  • Local market showcasing fresh finds
  • Sensory-break area
  • Free cake and cookies (while supplies last)
  • Free glow sticks, prizes and giveaways (while supplies last)
  • Larger-than-life entertainers and plenty more surprises throughout the evening
  • A dazzling fireworks show to close out the night (weather permitting)
