Mayor Foster extends condolences following fatal collision involving DRPS recruits
Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster has issued the following statement.
“Our community is grieving after the tragic collision involving two Durham Regional Police Service Constables in Training who were travelling to Ontario Police College.
On behalf of the Municipality of Clarington, I extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, classmates and colleagues affected by this tragedy. We mourn the loss of Constable in Training Tyrone Magbitang and keep the injured recruit in our thoughts during this difficult time.
Both were beginning careers built on service, courage and care for others. Together, we honour that commitment and remember Constable in Training Magbitang as a Hero in Life.”
