Playground upgrade coming to Brookhouse Parkette in Newcastle

Families in Newcastle can look forward to a refreshed and expanded outdoor play space as work begins this summer to upgrade the playground at Brookhouse Parkette. Starting the week of, Monday, August 4, crews will begin construction on a new larger play area, featuring a combination junior/senior play structure, new benches, and wood fibre safety surfacing to enhance both safety and accessibility.

While the construction is underway, parts of the park may be temporarily closed. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve this well-loved community space. The new playground is expected to reopen this fall.
