Public Meeting Notice: proposed development in Courtice
A development proposal* in Courtice will be coming to the Planning and Development Committee on Monday, February 9, 2026, beginning at 6:30 p.m. – and we want to hear from you!
*Please note this is not an approved project – this is the start of the planning process. The Municipality of Clarington is required to process every development application it receives. Our professional staff rigorously evaluate the merits and suitability of each application, which includes comments like yours.
Proposed development at 1350 Courtice Road, Courtice
GHD has submitted applications on behalf of Brookfield Residential (Ontario) Limited for an Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision at 1350 Courtice Road, Courtice.
The proposal seeks to facilitate the development of 18 street townhouses and 44 single-detached residential units, a medium-density block, a neighbourhood park block, an environmental protection block, and local and collector roads.
The total site area is 6.28 hectares.

If you are attending online and wish to speak at the public meeting, please pre-register by completing the online form at www.clarington.net/delegations or contact the Clerk’s Division at 905-623-3379 ext. 2109 or clerks@clarington.net by Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at noon. Once registered, staff will provide further instructions.
If you are attending in person, you do not need to pre-register as a delegate to speak at the meeting.
