Statement from Mayor Adrian Foster on Kwanzaa

Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster has issued the following Kwanzaa statement.

“Happy Kwanzaa! For those celebrating, today marks the beginning of a week-long celebration of Black culture, community and family. Over the next seven days, loved ones will gather to light the Kinara, share stories and honour traditions that reflect resilience and heritage.

From Clarington Council, may Kwanzaa bring plenty of blessings and happiness for the days ahead.”
