Clarington unveils new designs for South Bowmanville Recreation Centre, approves indoor pool
Clarington, Ontario – With shovels set to hit the ground in spring of 2025, Clarington’s new South Bowmanville Recreation Centre design plans are underway. On September 23, Clarington Council also approved the addition of an indoor aquatics facility to the site.

Residents celebrate new ways to move and play at South Courtice ArenaClarington, Ontario – On September 21, hundreds of residents joined Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster and members of Council to celebrate the launch of all-new outdoor amenities at South Courtice Arena.
Located at 1595 Prestonvale Road in Courtice, the arena is already a hub of community activity featuring both NHL and Olympic-sized indoor ice pads, an outdoor soccer field and off-leash dog park.

Clarington receives provincial grant for Hetherington Drive Stormwater Outlet Improvement projectThe Municipality of Clarington is receiving funding under the Province of Ontario’s Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund to upgrade and improve the Hetherington Drive Stormwater Outlet in the Bowmanville Creek valley. The province will fund 73 per cent of eligible project costs, up to a maximum of $509,118.
