Newly transformed Veterans’ Square reopens to public
Clarington, Ontario – Veterans’ Square in Bowmanville has reopened following extensive renovations to create a new vibrant, welcoming, and accessible public space. Mayor Foster and members of Clarington Council, along with representatives from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 178 and dignitaries, were on site to help mark the occasion.

Be aware of unpaid parking ticket scam
We have been made aware of a recent scam in the area where residents are receiving text messages and emails from the Municipality about outstanding parking tickets, requesting they pay the outstanding fees online.
The Municipality of Clarington does not provide communications about outstanding parking tickets via text or email.

Newly renovated Orono Arena celebrates reopening with a free public skate
Clarington, Ontario – The Municipality of Clarington is pleased to announce the reopening of Orono Arena following extensive renovations inside the building. Mayor Foster and members of Council, along with members of the Orono Amateur Athletic Association, officially marked the reopening with a complimentary public skate on September 28.

Residents celebrate new ways to move and play at South Courtice ArenaClarington, Ontario – On September 21, hundreds of residents joined Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster and members of Council to celebrate the launch of all-new outdoor amenities at South Courtice Arena.
Located at 1595 Prestonvale Road in Courtice, the arena is already a hub of community activity featuring both NHL and Olympic-sized indoor ice pads, an outdoor soccer field and off-leash dog park.

Clarington receives provincial grant for Hetherington Drive Stormwater Outlet Improvement projectThe Municipality of Clarington is receiving funding under the Province of Ontario’s Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund to upgrade and improve the Hetherington Drive Stormwater Outlet in the Bowmanville Creek valley. The province will fund 73 per cent of eligible project costs, up to a maximum of $509,118.
