Bennett Road to close September 9 for bridge reconstruction
Demolition and reconstruction of the Bennett Road bridge in Bowmanville is ongoing as part of the Ministry of Transportation’s Highway 401 Interchange Improvement Project.
To support this work, the following closure is scheduled:
- Bennett Road: Closed between the Highway 401 westbound on-ramp and Lake Road from Wednesday, September 9 at 9 a.m. to Thursday, September 10 at 6 a.m.
Detour routes will be in place throughout the closure, and emergency access will be maintained. Drivers should plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted detour signs.
