Effective immediately, Diane Hamre Recreation Complex is closed, and all programs are cancelled until further notice due to a power outage. We anticipate returning to our regular program schedule tomorrow (Saturday, December 17, 2022.)

Clarington, December 15, 2022 –Due to the heavy snowfall expected this afternoon and evening, all Clarington recreation, fitness and aquatic programs and activities will be cancelled as of 4 p.m. for the remainder of the day. The Diane Hamre Recreation Complex, Courtice Community Complex, Bowmanville Indoor Soccer Facility and Alan Strike Aquatic and Squash Centre will be closed.

Residents will soon see new courts at Guildwood Park in Bowmanville and Stuart Park in Courtice as crews begin work to replace the court surfaces. Guildwood Park is slated for a new tennis court surface, and at Stuart Park, the basketball court will get new asphalt. In addition, the tennis courts at Stuart Park will be replaced by new pickleball courts to support the growing demand for the sport.
