Intersection Accessibility Improvements and New Pedestrian Crossovers coming to Clarington

Clarington is working to improve accessibility and safety across the community. Starting the week of August 6, crews will begin intersection accessibility improvements and construction of new pedestrian crossovers in Bowmanville, Courtice and Enniskillen.  

The locations are as follows: 

• Longworth Avenue and Clayton Crescent Intersection, Bowmanville 

• Longworth Avenue and Brooking Street Intersection, Bowmanville

We’re building a new neighbourhood park at 3301 Middle Road in Bowmanville – and it needs a name!

Set to open in late fall 2024, the new park will feature:

• An accessible playground
• Large shade structure
• Splash pad
• Softball diamond including a backstop, outfield fence, spectator seating and supporting amenities
• Significant landscaping including tree planting and naturalized zones
• Benches and seating
• Paved walkways and a parking lot

Clarington bans rodenticides at recreation facilities

Clarington has banned the use of rodenticides at all Municipal recreation facilities as of July 1, 2024.
