School safety is key. Our Municipal law enforcement teams routinely patrol school zones to enforce parking regulations and school safety. We have excellent healthcare resources in the community, including our main hospital Lakeridge Health Bowmanville located at 47 Liberty Street South, Bowmanville.

We also have several urgent care clinics:

During winter storms, Clarington's crews work around the clock to remove snow, salt and sand roads as necessary to maintain safety and navigability. Winter road maintenance operations follow Ontario Municipal Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways; this means that certain roads are prioritized based on traffic volume. To assist our clearing operations, residents must remove all vehicles from the street to ensure snowplows can clear all roads. This means that parking permits are not valid during our snow clearing operations. Read our winter parking regulations.

If you wish to report any winter maintenance issues, please submit your concern through the Service Clarington portal.

The Region of Durham offers social services across our community. The Social Services Department has six divisions focused on specific needs. Visit the Region of Durham website to access these services.
