Clarington, Ontario - Clarington Council recognized two local businesses and a not-for-profit organization for their commitment to accessibility and inclusion during a virtual ceremony held on December 2, 2020. Foodland Newcastle, Hooper’s Jewellers and the Rotary Club of Bowmanville - Grocery Delivery Program were all honoured for taking steps to remove barriers and to ensure that people of all abilities can access their services.
Clarington, Ontario – The Municipality of Clarington is launching a new Community Electric Vehicle (EV) report, developed in partnership with Trent University – Durham Campus. Clarington has created some additional rules and signs to respond to concerns raised by residents regarding garbage and some unsafe beach activities.
Clarington July 9, 2020/- Clarington is partnering with local Internet Service Provider (ISP) Rapid Connex to fast-track the deployment of high-speed internet to underserviced rural areas. Rapid Connex approached Clarington with a robust plan, and with the help of Clarington staff, several Municipally-owned sites were identified as potential tower locations to help get residents connected.
