Game on, Clarington! Join us at the Bowmanville Community Complex Open House on October 3
The wait is nearly over for Clarington’s biggest-ever destination for sport to open its doors. Officially named the Bowmanville Community Complex (formerly South Bowmanville Recreation Centre), be among the first to check it out at the upcoming community Open House!
Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026
Time: 1 to 5 p.m.
Place: Bowmanville Community Complex, 1 West Side Drive (enter the new parking lot from Green Road)
Drop by to see inside the new FIFA-sized multi-sport dome, learn more about all the amenities coming to the facility, register for fall programs, and enjoy interactive activities and giveaways for the whole family!
Regular programming and rentals begin Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

Get excited for what's next
First, the multi-sport dome and indoor walking track will open on October 3, with programming starting October 13.
As we put the finishing touches on additional spaces in the main building, we'll soon announce new programs for the gymnasium and multi-purpose rooms.
The outdoor refrigerated skating trail will open, making it one of the longest in Ontario and the first of its kind in Durham Region.
In 2027, the highly anticipated Aquatics Centre will open alongside additional multi-purpose rooms, and the existing lacrosse bowl will reopen.
