Clarington's community facilities are functional, clean, and safe spaces. We've got swimming pools, ice pads, meeting rooms, fitness spaces, gymnasiums, squash courts, and many more spaces for you to enjoy.

Banquet hall information

Full hall

This 5,814 square foot banquet hall can accommodate 360 to 900 people, depending on room setup. It is ideal for large events, weddings and trade shows. The full hall can be divided into three separate halls for smaller events.

Hall 1

This 1,326 square foot room can accommodate 80 to 200 people, depending on the room setup. It is ideal for small gatherings, parties or meetings.

Hall 2

This 2,652 square foot room can accommodate 160 to 400 people, depending on the room setup. It is ideal for small gatherings, parties or meetings.

Hall 3

This 1,836 square foot facility can accommodate 120 to 300 people, depending on the room setup. It is ideal for small gatherings, parties or meetings.

Kitchen

The commercial-grade kitchen can only be rented in conjunction with a banquet hall rental.

  • Variety of change areas like in other Clarington recreation centres, including accessible, gender-specific, and universal change rooms that feature private changing and washroom stalls

The Newcastle and Orono arenas are municipally owned but operated by a volunteer board. Please contact the arenas directly to book ice time.

Newly Renovated Orono Arena

Orono Arena reopened on September 28, 2024, after extensive renovations to the interior. The $3 million renovation included replacing the refrigerated floor under the ice pad, upgrading the changing rooms and shower areas, and replacing the rubber flooring throughout the arena. The ice pad was also updated with all-new rink boards and a heated penalty box. These upgrades will extend the arena’s lifespan by another 15 years.
