Clarington Walks

Our indoor walking program provides a safe, dry place to walk and get exercise. It's free to join. No registration or membership is required. Open to all ages and abilities. Wheelchair users and strollers welcome. Please bring clean and dry indoor shoes to wear.

Walking is permitted in facility lobbies during regularly scheduled hours, and on the arena floor at Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex during the off season when the ice is removed.

Walking routes

Indoor shoes are required.

Alternative walking options

  • Access the walking track at the new multi-sports dome: Try the new walking try by purchasing a Swim, Skate and Walk Membership or drop-in pass during regularly scheduled hours.
  • Join the Courtice Fitness Training Centre: Take advantage of the Courtice Fitness Training Centre, where you can walk, run and more! Sign up for a gym membership, 10-ticket pass, or pay as you go. (Membership or day fees apply).
  • Enjoy the great outdoors: Explore Clarington’s many parks and trails. Walking outdoors is a great way to experience nature while staying active. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and wear proper footwear.
