Clarington receives portion of money for 2013 ice storm cleanup

Clarington February 19, 2015/- Clarington will receive an interim payment of $463,428 from the province to help cover ice storm cleanup costs. The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has approved some relief funding that will help cover cleanup following the December 2013 ice storm that crippled the Municipality. But the interim payment only covers 35 per cent of Clarington's total claim of approximately $1.3 million.

Clarington February 17, 2015/- The Municipality of Clarington settled its appeal of the Clarington Wind Farm Project. The appeal was launched following a December 15, 2014 Council meeting. The Municipality was able to reach an agreement with Clarington Wind. Clarington eases restrictions on food trucks

Clarington February 11, 2015/- Clarington Council approved a newly revised by-law that will make it easier for food trucks to obtain a licence and operate within the Municipality. During its regularly held Monday night meeting, Council made amendments to the Clarington Refreshment Vehicle Licensing By-law.
