Clarington improves road and pedestrian safety by installing new all-way stops

The Municipality of Clarington is implementing new all-way stops at several intersections between mid-April and June.

Clarington monitors traffic flow throughout the Municipality and makes changes to help ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians and cyclists and to adapt to the changing traffic patterns, behaviours and conditions.

The following intersections are transitioning to all-way stops:

• Aspen Springs Drive at West Side Drive
• Bons Avenue at Gimblett Drive and Honeyman Drive
• Mearns Avenue at Longworth Avenue
• Rhonda Boulevard at Lawrence Gate
• Sandringham Drive at Strathallan Drive
• Sandringham Drive at Glenabbey Drive
• Trulls Road at George Reynolds Drive

Advisory signs are in place to let drivers know of the upcoming change. The new stop signs have been installed but will remain covered until the pavement markings have been added.
