Mayor’s Levee celebration marks the start of a bright year ahead
Clarington, ON – On Sunday, the annual Mayor’s Levee brought the Clarington community together to welcome the new year with an afternoon of free family activities. To kick off the festivities, Mayor Foster hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open Clarington’s first-ever outdoor refrigerated skating rink.

Clarington increases fines for stopping in school zones, parked cars interfering with snow removalClarington, ON – Clarington Council has updated the Traffic By-law, resulting in increased fines for recurring traffic issues, such as parking in prohibited areas and parking on the street during snow-clearing operations.
Previously, no-stopping fines ranged from $45 to $60.

Clarington receives donation of 342 smoke and carbon monoxide alarms from Enbridge GasClarington, Ontario – Enbridge Gas and Clarington Emergency and Fire Services (CEFS) have teamed up to help improve home safety and bring fire and carbon monoxide-related deaths down to zero.
CEFS received 342 combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms through Safe Community Project Zero–an annual Enbridge Gas campaign with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council that takes place across Ontario.
