Spay-Neuter Assistance Program
Our Animal Shelter is constantly dealing with an influx of cats, overpopulation is a large problem. We have teamed up with Durham Region veterinarians to offer a low cost spay-neuter assistance program. The Clarington Animal Shelter is proud to work with DR.SNAP to address this issue.
In order to qualify for the program you must be a Durham region resident. The program is open to people receiving assistance from:
- Senior Guaranteed Income Supplement
- Ontario Disability Support Program
- Canada Pension Plan Disability Payment
- Ontario Works Program
The cost of the program is:
- $100 cat spay
- $80 cat neuter
Some veterinarian clinics may require additional vaccines or treatments prior to surgery. Please ask your veterinarian prior to receiving a voucher.
