Albert Street and Durham Street Reconstruction and Watermain Replacement
The Municipality of Clarington is planning to reconstruct and urbanize Albert Street and Durham Street in Bowmanville, between Duke Street and Brown Street (approximately 240m in length each).
The project design phase is expected to be completed in 2026. It includes:
- Minor roadway widenings
- A full road reconstruction with the replacement/installation of storm sewers (as required)
- Sidewalk removal/replacement/extensions
- Street lighting upgrades (as required)
- Minor landscaping enhancements
- A replacement of the existing 150mm ductile iron watermain on both streets.
Construction will be scheduled after the design is completed.
Public Information Centre
A Public Information Centre will be held to present the proposed design and collect feedback from residents and stakeholders. Updates will be posted once a date is scheduled and details are confirmed.
