Zoning By-Law 84-63 regulates the nature and form of development for all of the lands within Clarington that are situated between Lake Ontario and the Oak Ridges Moraine. It came into effect in September 1984, and has incorporated several amendments over time.

All references made within Zoning By-Law 84-63 to the "Town of Newcastle" date back to the original name given to the amalgamated Municipality in 1974 and should now be interpreted as referring to the Municipality of Clarington.
