Clarington marks AccessAbility Week with community survey for Multi-Year Accessibility Plan
Clarington, Ontario – The Municipality of Clarington is proud to announce the launch of a community survey during AccessAbility Week, aimed at gathering valuable feedback to support the development of our next Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (MYAP), which will guide accessibility efforts over the next five years.

Council Highlights from the May 15, 2023 meetingOrono Parking Study
Clarington staff will work with members of the Orono Downtown Business Improvement Area to try and find a solution for concerns about the capacity of on-street parking.
Council requested that the parking demand data in downtown Orono be updated, and Public Works staff completed updated parking counts on several dates between late February and mid-April.

New playground equipment coming to parks in Burketon, Haydon, Kendal, Newtonville and OronoClarington residents will soon see new playground equipment at the following parks:
- Burketon Park
- Harvey Jackson Park
- Haydon Hall Parkette
- Ina Brown Parkette
- Peters Pike Parkette
Crews will work throughout May and June to remove the existing equipment that has reached its end of life and install new play structures. New benches and waste receptacles will also be added, along with trail improvements.

Council highlights from the May 1, 2023 meetingBowmanville boat launch repair contract awarded
Clarington Council has awarded the contract to reconstruct the Port Darlington Boat Launch and parking lot in Bowmanville.
The work includes the reconstruction of the boat launch, a new staircase from the parking lot to the ramp, reconstruction of the parking lot, repairing the grading transition on a segment of the Waterfront Trail, and landscaping improvements.
